Do you have diabetes and want an assistance dog that can support you in everyday life?
How does a diabetes alert dog provide support?
Every person experiences diabetes differently - which is why your assistance dog will be trained together with you to meet your exact needs. A well-trained assistance dog can recognise an approaching hypoglycaemia or hyperglycaemia even earlier than a continuous blood glucose monitor. It warns you using previously learned behaviour, such as nudging with its paw. You can take the necessary measures after you have measured the blood glucose (because the dog never replaces a control measurement).

Would you like your dog to press an emergency button at home or at work or get help if you can no longer react yourself? This can also be part of our joint training programme.
In an emergency, an assistance dog signals to others with its vest that there is a medical issue. This helps, for example, bystanders to assess the situation correctly and respond appropriately.
Diabetes assistance dogs enable their owners to have more mobility, independence, and autonomy in life. Your certified assistance dog is allowed to accompany you to many places, such as grocery stores or restaurants.
