During scent conditioning, the dog learns to identify a very specific <strong>Reliably detect and indicate scent<\/strong>. In our case, this could be, for example, the smell of nuts \u2013 a huge help for people with nut allergies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training is structured step-by-step: first, the target scent (e.g., peanut) is positively reinforced. The dog learns that detecting this scent is rewarding. Subsequently, the behaviour is consolidated \u2013 the dog clearly indicates the find, for example by sitting or remaining precisely in place.
