<\/figure>\n\n\n\nDogs have been part of my life for over 25 years \u2013 whether in sports, in service, or in training. I studied Social Work<\/strong> and worked for over a decade as a social worker<\/strong>, youth worker, and experiential educator. This experience now helps me to advise people professionally<\/strong> and provide individual guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a dog trainer<\/strong>, I have had the privilege of supporting numerous human-dog teams \u2013 in training, everyday life, and in overcoming both small and large challenges. For many years, I have guided puppies and family dogs<\/strong> in group and individual sessions. In addition, I provide further training for instructors at the SKG (Swiss Cynological Society).<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am an operational dog handler as well as an instructor at REDOG - this close and intensive work with our dogs fascinates and impresses me time and time again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Over the years, I have been accompanied by a wide range of different dog personalities<\/strong> \u2013 some also from animal shelters: Flat Coated Retriever, Poodle, Border Collie, Sheltie, and a Parson Russell Terrier. Foster dogs have also been part of our pack from time to time. I have always been impressed by the great work of our dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For decades, I was responsible for training rescue dogs to search for buried victims - initially in my region and later throughout Switzerland for REDOG. This gave me the opportunity to work with many different dogs. My activity in the training and further education of trainers<\/strong> was also particularly important to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have never learnt as much as I have from my dogs. Write to us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Assistance dog trainer<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am a mother, a dog owner and Trained nursery nurse <\/strong>with training as an assistance dog trainer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dogs have been part of my life since childhood and are far more than just animals to me \u2013 they are cherished companions. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to train with a wide variety of dogs and get to know all sorts of personalities. These have included, among others, a M\u0103runi\u0219te\u0219 blend, a Flat-Coated Retriever, a Sheltie, an Appenzeller blend, a Kooikerhondje, and a Poodle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I was active in rubble search with REDOG as an operational dog handler and training instructor with my Kooikerhondje \u00abDarco\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As an educator, I helped develop the \u00abPrevent a Bite\u00bb project, a programme for children aged 4 to 6. The aim is to teach important rules for interacting with dogs during visits to nurseries and school classes. As Host in kindergarten and school classes, and later as the director of Prevent a Bite Bern <\/strong>(2013 to 2019) I was particularly keen on respectful interaction between children and dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During my work at the kindergarten, I was accompanied by my poodle, \u00abPercy.\u00bb His unobtrusive nature enriched the group's atmosphere and at times provided support to individual children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The interaction between humans and animals always fascinates me anew. Today, I have the privilege of accompanying people and their dogs on a very special journey. For me, there is little more beautiful than witnessing how a human-dog team grows from a wish and an idea into a trusting partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After completing my training as a building services planner specializing in heating and cooling systems<\/strong>, I decided to follow my passion and dedicate myself entirely to working with people and dogs. Today, I work as an assistance dog trainer<\/strong>, supporting people on their individual journey toward a reliable assistance dog or helping them achieve a more relaxed and independent everyday life with their dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My training is built around understanding instead of pressure, trust instead of coercion, and reward-based training<\/strong>. Every person and every dog has their own unique story. That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions, but in training approaches that are tailored to you as a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I regularly pursue further education and continue to expand my knowledge in the fields of assistance dogs, canine science, learning theory, behaviour, and nutrition<\/strong>. I firmly believe that those who want to guide others should never stop learning themselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With Hund hilft Mensch<\/strong>, I am committed to advancing assistance dog training in Switzerland and providing people with competent, long-term support. Together with strong partners, we are creating training programs based on scientific evidence that place people and their individual needs at the centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My own dogs are my most important teachers.<\/strong> You remind me every day of the importance of patience, trust and a strong relationship. Dogs have enriched my life since 1974. As a veterinarian<\/strong> and in particular through further training as a behavioural medicine specialist<\/strong>, I was able to acquire a broad range of knowledge. As part of my work, I have advised many dog owners - on training issues as well as behavioural problems.
